Nearly 20 percent of people find work with speculative letters, it is a very cost-effective way for employers to fill vacancies and many prefer this type of recruitment because they do not need to spend money in finding the right people to fill the jobs.
Finding company details such as name and address is now easier than before, a simple search on company house websites, or Google Maps, or LinkedIn or even in their personal website.
My advice is to plan a week of how you will do your job search, once a week send at least 10 speculative letters and keep in contact with the employer.
20 Percent Find Work with Speculative Letters
Do not go for a cheap email, spend some money on stamps and send a personal letter to employer with your CV. A cover letter is very important way to introduce yourself.
Then plan an interview with the person in charged and hopefully you will get the job. Do at least 1 visit on site and speak with the manager that you have send a speculative letter or you have spoken with the employer a week or so ago.
Keeping in contact with the employer will eventually give you a job, it could be a temporally volunteer which could end up in a paid role. Volunteer for at least 3 days and see what happens.
If you feel that the job is not for you, you have the right to leave the workplace. You are volunteering for the job. Do some work for a few hours and keep in contact with the employer.
